Because my resolution is to be more happy: How to Be More Joyful. I'm actually doing all of these, which is rare for my resolutions. I did yoga last night for the first time in months, and again this morning before I got out of bed. I'm a little sore in my hips as a result, but it felt awesome.

Also: today is my mom's birthday. And I wanted to tell my favorite mom story, but I realized I have too many, so here's a list of things you didn't want to know about my mom.
- The first time she met Teresa, she tried to run her down with a motorized wheelchair and caught her in the crotch with one of the handlebars. A few years later, she was suggesting where we ought to get married. She keeps telling us to go to Canada.
- My mom once received a letter from my aunt that said she got MS because she had buried her feminity and her faith in God. Mom got a shovel and buried that letter in the backyard.
- My mom protested at the ADAPT conference in Chicago. The police were called, and one young officer started to take my mom to the police wagon. Mom said, "Do you really want to be caught on camera arresting a 4'10 little woman in a wheelchair? I think I feel some tears coming on." Mom didn't get arrested.
- She's had Last Rites 14 times. Her doctors won't let her see her MRIs anymore. Nobody is sure why she's still alive, but she's one of the most vibrant people I know.

Second, the joy thing? Totally works. I suffer from bloody awful depression and anxiety, allied with some chronic joint pain (although nothing anywhere near what you go through). And the only thing that keeps me putting one foot in front of the other is a determination to keep positive - a knack taught me by a very smart psychologist.
And my boss - who is the best boss in the world, ever - is naturally upbeat and positive and refuses to allow me to be down, or negative, or too hard on myself.
And I'm better than I've ever been.
*Hugs* You can do it! :D
