this is belated, but we had Frostmaiden on Friday, so I wanted to post a song for Skink that I found hilariously appropriate:

my poor religiously traumatized paladin who's not sure about all this god stuff got martyred and accidentally ended up a very reluctant saint of his goddess's church. he doesn't want it and definitely doesn't feel worthy of it, but there's no undoing it now. so he's trying to figure out how to make this whole saint thing work despite being a foul-mouthed disaster who used to break kneecaps for a living. it's a work in progress.

(yes, I do find the whole thing hilarious.)

Oh, what a delight of a song, and I'm going to apply it to Augustine, Saint of the Emperor Undying (who was probably making a good attempt of it when they-all learned how things were going, but has recently become Less Enchanted with that whole prospect. And he smokes.)

Hmmm. I like this. And it's very Skink. The boy doesn't think very highly of himself. And watching Skink try to be the saint Elistraee wants him to be should be hilarious.

Skink has a lot of self-worth issues for sure, but lord, does he try hard when he puts his mind to something. he's less worried about pleasing Eilistraee than being the kind of saint he himself needed back when he was in the Church of Helm. he might even willingly step into her church and talk to people awkwardly and do some (gasp!) naked dancing if we ever go back to Luskan.
