- Will Shetterly: STILL on the list of fucking FAIL white privileged sci-fi authors. Apparently in order to silence discussion of racism in sci-fi, he revealed POC blogger coffeeandink's full name. When she raised hell to get him to take it down, he had the balls to ask why she didn't thank him. FAIL FAIL FAIL. Kathryn Cramer was also involved. And frankly, Elizabeth Bear gets a FAIL stamp too for saying that despite using online emotional violence to reinforce his white privilege, he's still a nice guy. My thoughts were similar when I caught an episode of Dollhouse the Sunday before last. It bothered me that they came up with a character who could not, by her concept, learn and grow. In fact, my 'hook' interest was, "Hey, your villain is kind of interesting. ...but I guess he won't be showing his head for a while. Damn."
