Re: Roman Polanski, it pisses me right off that the media keeps saying he "had sex with a 13 year old girl." Yeah, sorry, an adult male can't "have sex with" a child. That's rape by definition, even if she gives consent, simply because she is a CHILD in her culture. That's a middle schooler. My tolerance drops RIGHT OFF when you get to a) rape and b) kids. And I don't want to hear about his talent or his sad history. Neither are an excuse for what he's done.

Date: 2009-09-28 11:27 pm (UTC)It's one thing for a 13 year old to have sex with a 14 year old, but RP was an adult preying on a child, pure and simple. He ran from the law and the law finally caught up with him. I'm thankful the statute of limitations didn't run out before it did.
