Body. Seriously, dude. I understood why you got so damn anemic when I was menstruating for like six months straight, but we ironed (heh) that shit out and I've been bleeding a reasonable amount for an AFAB person. Yet here I am with a note from my doctor saying that I'm anemic again, I need to see a GYN, and and he thinks I might need more infusions.

Body. Body, no. Body, I thought we were copacetic. Why are you like this? Why can't you just absorb iron from supplements? Or, failing that, take birth control without getting all whacked out suicidal? THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS.

Argh.

Human bodies are ridiculous anyway, but female bodies? And somebody called this *intelligent* design?

I hope your stuff gets sorted to the best result with the least trouble.

I feel like yelling at your body, "This is why we can't have nice things!" is completely reasonable in this situation. As a fellow chronic illness sufferer, I may use this phrase myself from time time. (Currently looking into breast reduction bc of back issues, which my chest is glorious, I want to keep it, but no I can't have nice things! 😒). Hang tough, friend!
