Can you tell I have months worth of linkspam on my bookmarks?

- Problem patients, problem meds: "Sending a patient out the door with just a prescription is not treatment."
- Meltdown: "It usually takes a week of traveling with (my father) before I’m seized by the tantrum-pitching impulse and can barely resist the urge to punch myself again and again in the face." Trigger warning for cancer. The picture that opens the piece is particularly hilarious, though.
- Eating your cultural vegetables: "Though Lyra doesn’t get the jokes, she understands the rhythm of jokes, and so when she hears that rhythm, she laughs, knowingly, in a manner that tugs at my heart — and feels more than a little familiar."
- Modern family: I feel like I saw this poly family in a documentary once. They're still awesome in print.
- Atlas stretched: who is John Galt and why is he on Luluman bags?: "If you’ve ever wandered into a Lululemon store or perused the website of this purveyor of ultra-hip “yoga-inspired” athletic apparel, you may have noticed that the company is not trying to sell merely a pair of buttocks-compressing pants but a worldview."
- Ghost rider: "It was senior year, and I’d spent most of it having panic attacks at his house, sitting on a waterbed and trying to remember to move the oxygen through my body."
- Why I'm climbing back aboard the mood stabilizer train: "There's a reason the flight attendants tell you to put on your own oxygen mask before assisting others. It's because you can't do jack to help people if you're running out of air yourself." I heart Marianne Kirby.

"Tower Meltdown" was fantastic in every way. Thank you for that link.

I loved that story so much. It reminded me of going places with my mom. *g* Thank you!
