So, like. Where do I find the Leverage icons? *bats eyelashes*
I have a good long post about gender and Leverage in me. But that post may not be happening today. Suffice to say:
First flush of fandom! Oh, yeah, like smack straight to the vein. Let's see. Thoughts:
- I want GSF! I want the fic from five years in the future where they've retired to a cabana in Italy or something, and technically it's Nathan's property but they all come around like stray cats to rub against his ankles (Sophie), steal his bandwith (Hardison), drop literally in on him from the balcony (Parker) and sit Buddha-like at his kitchen table sharpening knives (Eliot). Because they don't want him to do anything stupid. And he doesn't kick them out. THAT fic.
- PARKERRR. Parker is my tv girlfriend. I regret that they gave her backstory damage even while I love that she's so gleefully amoral and crazy and vulnerable and complicated. This is what Kripke missed when he tried to create Bela and S4!Ruby.
- HARDISON. Man. Love. Lovelovelove his dorky crush on Parker and his BRAIN and that he's kinda lonely and willing to put himself out there. He's like their Jared!
- Eliot, of course. Eliot is hotness squared. "Did you give your mama this number?" The KLINGON. I died. (After asking T if Kane called Jensen to check the pronunciation on that Klingon.) That he seems genuinely worried about Nathan. Where are the Dean/Eliot fics?
- Sophie. I love that she is a bad actress. I think she could stand to gain about 40 lbs. (Parker is skinny, but lanky-skinny. Believably an acrobat skinny.) I love that she's all Jessica Rabbit on Nathan, who's like "!!!!"
- Nathaaaan. Oh, you woobie cranky bastard. Black king, white knight is exactly right. He's a jerk, and he's prickly and raw from grief, and he's so damn ANGRY that it informs everything he does. Eliot's right in that if they're not with him, he's self-destructing. He kinda projects it like JDM projected rage from John Winchester, that scary tunnel vision. Rawr.
