I love the sparse language, the specificity that gives the voice. It feels like an apocalypse. feels like, I survived, we survived, but hell, it's only just the beginning.
and then Then, before Hot Wheels can even be scared, he groans and moves to (not eat, not devour, Jesus Christ not tonight) kiss Hot Wheels's mouth. is just kick you in the chest awesome.
the thought of Balthazar looking like he just got hit in the head with a shoe cos he snogged his brother works for me on many levels.
and killer ending line. perfect. leaving unsaid that in here, everything is just beginning.
