Sep. 28th, 2022 09:03 amI haven't been using this space much, but I had the realization on my walk this morning that I can put my musical taste and disorganized blorbo flailing here. I've been deeply into tabletop roleplaying since the pandemic started, and it's been a bright spot during some grim times. poisontaster and had no idea what my character should be, until I remembered this song off the Mountain Goats' concept album about professional wrestling:
so Bob "the Barbarian" Page is based off me wondering what it'd be like if the werewolf gimmick was a literal thing, and if there were independent pro wrestling leagues filled with secret cryptids because it's a business that allows people to use aliases, constantly move from town to town, and stay mostly off the grid. Bob was the chill human in a locker room full of friendly monsters, and when the company went under, he was left with a bunch of weird esoteric knowledge and two bad knees, like Mick Foley turned Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
he also has an RV with a flamethrower. it's been a weird retirement.
