Let's do the time warp again!

Not fun: after buying Dragon Dictate, I've been getting constant calls from the company acting me to upgrade upgrade upgrade. I told this latest one that I needed to clear buying anything with my supervisor, and she chirps back, "oh, after you talk to HIM..."

Him. Right. I had no idea we had slid back in time to the 40s.

Or #1, more appropriately, because he had crystals in his pee. And so, another trip to the vet, another bill, and more pills for Teddy Mao. Teddy from our neighbor who first found him, after her father who just passed on Sunday, and Mao because that's his only word for now. Every time you go in the basement, you hear him: "mao. mao? mao? mao?" So he's a communist.

AKB: What's your sign?

Very very very brief AKB meta: when I'm writing Misha as using sign or fingerspelling, it's meant to be American Sign Language and not Signing Exact English. The two systems differ in that Signing Exact English is a literal manual translation of spoken English, and ASL has a different set of grammatical rules in which meaning can be derived by hand motion/position and by facial expression. However, I write the overall meaning of what Misha signs as I would spoken English because, frankly, it's easier.

I'm sure there's also another 'dialect' of sign used strictly by front-of-house/back-of-house slaves in order to conduct their duties (or private business) in front of the owners.
