nilchancePit to Distress, or how to protect yourself from unnecessary C-sections: This is part two of two posted by a birth advocate blogger, who writes about unwritten protocol intended by OBs to steer a woman into unwanted and unnecessary interventions. This is a large part of why I don't trust obstetrics and why, if I ever planned to carry a child, I'd push for homebirth if at all possible. Eugh.
Psychologists with a conscience: the Nebraska Catholic Conference wants psychologists to be able to reject GLBT clients without a referral, for religious reasons. I'm all good with the rejection part (would you want a psychologist who thinks you're evil?) but the no referral thing is unnecessary and, yeah, unethical.
Does it really cost to employ my fat ass?: A beautiful takedown of the CDC program designed to get "perfect" health from employees.
Like Glass, a vivid description of fibromyalgia pain from the POV of someone who has it.
