life update

so I was in the ER this Sunday because of some severe stomach / flank pain after a UTI diagnosis, and sure enough, I was diagnosed with a kidney infection. I think it might be bilateral; the pain is certainly radiating on both sides. they sent me home with antibiotics and no real instructions on what to do with myself. the Internet recommends heating pads, a fuckton of liquids, and a lot of rest. (I am terrible at rest.) currently I can manage about 3 hours of sitting upright on the couch before the fatigue and pain gets to be too much and I have to resentfully lie down with a hot water bottle for a while. I'm still feeling pretty wretched after a couple days of antibiotics, but I've read that it can take up to 2 weeks to fully bounce back, which..... ugh. I have shit to do, body, please cooperate.
