nilchanceFYI for those who might have The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes on their to-read list: there is one graphic on-screen animal death.
Otherwise it's an excellent book that reads like an answer to true crime and procedural books and their emphasis on the serial killer above the victims. Would recommend.
