Cooperative thinking

Actual conversation that I had with T on Monday:

T: "It was one of those wrinkly dogs. You know."
Me: "A bulldog?"
T: "No. Fuzzy. Raspy fur. I know the name, but I can't say it."
(Both of us sit there for a minute, thinking the name but unable to get it out.)
T: Sss.
Me: Sss?
T: Shhh.
Me: ARRRR.
(Yes, like a pirate.)
T: Sharpei! Thanks. Anyway, so her sharpei...

It's amazing that Retriever-verse doesn't involve long paragraphs about "you know, that THING, with the laces and the boning, that thing!"
