Themes I've noticed:
- I read more graphic novels, horror and books on paganism.
- I read a lot, a LOT, of King.
- My reading tapered off after October, when I lost my backlog of about 300 e-books and was also without a library card. But I paid off my fines, and I have a stack of a dozen books already waiting to be read.
- My plans for 2011: more horror, more books by and about POCs! Also, more porn. ;)

Date: 2011-01-04 02:36 am (UTC)And King is so much fun. I need to try to make it through Insomnia again, though, the last time I tried a whole bunch of Stuff Happened all at once and I only got about two chapters in.
If you're looking for more horror, I'll go ahead and recommend John Skipp and Craig Spector-- I just discovered their stuff. They've done a bunch of collaborative work and some standalone projects. Their stuff is creepy and in some ways darkly comic, I really like their characters, and there's not near the focus on sexual violence that Richard Laymon tends to have.
