Stalking, RPS and femslash. This is really interesting stuff about why RPS has nothing to do with stalking and why we need to talk about this kind of thing in fandom.

Interesting. Um. Last I checked, being stalked involved a guy calling me up about a thousand times to tell me about how he'd been watching me inside my apartment (though cat-damaged blinds) and that he liked my gray bra and would I go out with him. Which is nothing like RPF. *shudders*

Sorry for dumping that in your journal! It was a LONG time ago, it's just been on my mind with all of the discussions going around the flist.

Thank you. No, seriously. THANK YOU for this link.
I was pondering a lot about rps. Actually ever since I first stumbled over it. During the last year it came to a point where it interfered more and more with my ability to write (little as that may be). However, I would never have thought about those arguments she mentioned and I found them logic and very, very reassuring. If I ever get around to writing again these days, it's because of this.

If only everything else in my life would be that easy. That doesn't make it less great though. In fact, maybe, soon I'm gonna have way more time on my hands than I asked for...
