Saw the Losers for a third time...
May. 5th, 2010 01:35 pmAnd I'm putting this first reaction under a spoiler-cut for the COMICS, esp the very last volume, because I know certain parties really really don't want to be spoiled for that. And then I'll do the other reactions.
... So, I looked at the very very end, having realized on second view that the movie played with the Max-is-secretly-twins reveal, and: the dude rescuing Max at the very end in the chopper? Also played by Jason Patrick. You can see it's the same face. The more you know!
Also, I really can't tell the difference between the twins, except for the fairly obvious "hire guns!" "no, don't hire guns, kill them instead!" decision, which (on first view) just played as Max being psychotic. It'd be easy to say all the id-like stuff was Max1 and the rest was Max2, but I don't know that it's true or not.

Sob-story aside, and given I've saved 10 other posts from you on the movie (so I take it you're a fan as well? XP)...
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!
I avoid spoilers like the plague (yes, even for movies based on books/comic books I've already read) and I must have missed the part where they are making a sequel?

Date: 2010-05-21 07:32 am (UTC)I REALLY hope they do a sequel. I know that it didn't do as well as, say, Iron Man, but it did pretty well for a movie with not very big name stars that's based on a comic series that NO ONE knew about. And from what I've seen the movie and now the comic have a small, but very dedicated fanbase, and that's what helped keep Supernatural going through 5 seasons. Get rabid enough fangirls together, and we can move the world. XDDD
I was wondering about the whole "hire guns!" "didja hire guns? good. now kill 'em" thing. I thought maybe it was just poor writing, like they were trying to make Max more psychotic, but it'd make a lot of sense if they were playing with the whole twins thing. Of course only those that read the comic would catch that...
