Dear Dean Koontz,
Making the villain absolutely pitch-black sociopath eeeeevil is cool once, a trend twice, and more than twice? It's a cop-out for real characterization. Stop that.
Also, your theory of animal rescue (that your heroine of unlimited $$$ and free time must ONLY rescue one breed, and one purebreed, from the animal shelter at a time, or she's doin' it wrong) is either ignorant or outright irresponsible because those who DO take your advice and start rescuing will only save those they think they "should", consigning even more half-breeds and mutts to euthanasia. Also also, don't advocate rescue as the only moral option (which I think it IS, but that's my deal and my own morals, and I'm not preaching in the form of fiction) and have your presh main character (the above rescue worker) get her own two dogs from a breeder. It looks bad to those readers who, y'know, READ.
Eye-rollingly,
Me
ETA: And he donates to Republican causes? I think I just funded my own oppression. Um. I'll just pretend that my contributions are going to the helper-dog charities, not the bugfuck crazy political stuff.
