Plot bunny for sale?

What if, instead of bringing Dean back from hell in Lazarus Rising, Castiel entered the story a little earlier by resurrecting John from hell? (as the one who could stop Dean and Sam from fulfilling their roles OR, alternately, as the one Zachariah thought would/could kill them both if he had to?)

What if Castiel was still fascinated by Dean, even if he's supposed to be perching on John's shoulders?

So YEAH. Somebody write that for me, okay?

I would love to see John having to deal with owing everything to the angel that wants to... well, despoiling doesn't seem very Castiel-ish, let's say who has intentions towards his son.
I could totally picture him asking John for permission to court him and John flat-out saying "No."
