and your AU sounds absolutely fun; it would be fabulous to see Dean facing down dogs who really really don't want bathing/grooming (or possibly real hellhounds, depending on the owner)
Have you ever read astolt's "Leader of the Pack"? I just got a picture of Dean, attempting to wash their pack, because they've been digging in graves again and are all disgusting-can't let 'em in the Impala like that!-and Sam, watching and laughing his ass off. :D
