That first scene between Castiel and Dean, when Dean was trying to convince Castiel to defy his brethern for him? With Castiel so uncertain and reluctant and Dean actively trying initiate eye contact? That was a seduction scene. It WAS. And Dean was the one doing it, which was a complete flip from everything leading up to the finale. ♥

And then, and THEN--Castiel came back and was all business and no time to talk and he SLICED OPEN HIS FOREARM and SLAMMED his hand against that wall and BANISHED AN ARCHANGEL WITH HIS OWN BLOOD ♥♥♥

And the parallel symbolism--Castiel keeps Dean from eating the food of 'Paradise' (Myth of Persephone, anyone?) and frees him from captivity with his own blood, while Ruby feeds Sam her own blood and keeps him a prisoner of her lies.

I'm really glad someone else thought about Persephone in all that. I kept thinking "don't eat the food" Dean. In a way, it also reminded me a lot of the biblical "temptation of Christ" bits from the bible (or what vague recollections I have of those from childhood). Really fraking amazing parallels there.
