21. Do any of your characters have children? How well do you write them?

I keep remembering the answer to this and then forgetting it. Um. Oh, I know! Zach and Wendy have Ryzer, who I'm much better at writing (I feel) as a baby than as a toddler. My experience with toddlers / young children is really limited; I'm used to before 6 months old, or after 15 years old. Between that stretch, man, I got nothing.

Jensen in the Losers also has his niece, who I love dearly for all that she's in the movie for like 10 seconds, and who makes me want to write about her, and yet: 8 years old. Again, I am clueless.

So, short answer: yes they do, and poorly, I think. It probably shows that children are terrifying to me (too fragile! too illogical!) and so my interest is in the adults around them. Which is why the kids I write about tend to be damaged or feral, like Dean in shelter-verse.

Meta: Neoliberal Holmes. Man, this is a freaking ICE BURN to most white male dominated media, not just SH2010, but I love it so much.

Also, this vid below sent me into hysterics last night. Because srsly, that is the story of my life with cats. The sound NEEDS to be on for the full effect.
