nilchance: original art from a vintage print; art of a woman being struck by lightning (spoons)
27. Along similar lines, do appearances play a big role in your stories?

First answer, no.

Second answer, it depends. ;)

I don't include a lot of description in my fic these days. I'm not sure why that is, other than I'm not personally that interested in what people look like. I want to know what they're doing. If appearance comes up, it's probably in terms of how people react to that appearance. AKB!Jensen's pretty causes different reactions than, say, raven!Jensen, even though they are the same people. But raven!Jensen holds himself very differently (more anger, more violence, less vulnerability) than AKB!Jensen because of the way they grew up, what they've been through, socialization. I find that difference more interesting than describing the exact green of Jensen's eyes.
