John had kept his ear to the ground in the last few weeks, as had Andrew, and so they'd heard everything Bobby had done (up to and including threatening to start a war in their fucked up little fraternity) to be sure no one tried for Dean.
I'm a tad confused about why everybody's gunning for Dean. Surely that wasn't the only time Bobby's ever gotten beat up in his life. I understand about the Amanda chick but beside one episode of fisticuffs Dean never went after one of the 'brotherhood.' So why are they all ready to off him?
I love that Dean was in the middle on the couch, and ended up with his head on Sam's lap and his legs on his father's lap. Finally, cradled in the loving arms of his family. And it only took 22 cold, emotionless years...
So, is the Andrew stuff coming in the last chapter? I know that John is more of an action guy, but I think he could set up a training facility, write his memoirs (codify everything he noted in his journal), etc while he keeps an eye on the hellmouth. Hopefully he's outgrown his need to keep his knowledge close to the vest (a la Dead Man's Blood) and is willing to share for the betterment of all mankind...or something.
Is it wrong that even though I'm glad Dean's better, that I'm still glad the poor boy is too thin and not sleeping?
