Taking the excited sqeeing and "yay, yay, thank you!" for granted, I'll just mention how surprised I am to be enjoying the interactions between Sam and John so much. I mean, nothing exactly *wrong* with a nice jelly sandwich, but the peanutbutter is missing, you know? (oh, who am I kidding? Dean is both the peanutbutter AND the jelly, so what we have here is basically a bread sandwich. Mmmmyum.)
But you know, from that first chapter when Sam almost crosses the line in fighting with John (which, you know, *would* have been unforgivable assuming Dean was dead because much as I think John deserved it...man, you can't do that to him before he's even buried his son. No.) But I loved the way that Dean was almost present in his absence, and Sam was waiting for Dean to stop him. And ever since then, I've been loving watching John and Sam dance around the ghost of the missing peacemaker.
But. That said. Bread sandwich, folks. And peanutbutter-and-jelly gets messy without its rightful casing. Not that I'm adverse to licking Dean off my fingers...um...okay, never mind. Loving your story. Will hold milk analogy, too. :-) THANKS for continued great reading!!!
