The dark and gritty feel to this reminds me of Blade Runner, Johnny Mnemonic, and The Time Machine; but much better, of course. The UST between Jeff and Jensen is palpable & the fic is *definitely* not the light-hearted, flirty "Jeff teases a shy librarian" fic I half expected from the initial comment re:flicking open cufflinks.
