(no subject)

so I had my biopsy yesterday.

it wasn't pleasant, but it wasn't too bad. they had my left breast compressed in the mammography machine the whole time, plus multiple injections with lidocaine before using the 9-gauge vacuum-assisted biopsy needle. weirdly, the only things that really hurt were a) the second round of lidocaine because they had to go DEEP and b) keeping my head turned 90 degrees to the right for an hour because they needed the biopsy needle gun right against my face.

afterwards, the doctor and tech were both very kindly effusive with their praise. apparently they couldn't tell that I was anxious. the doctor described me as "stoic" which made me feel like I'm getting a good grade in biopsy. XD

the lidocaine wore off after a couple hours, and I definitely feel that I've been holepunched 16 times. mostly that's a helpful distraction from waiting 3-5 business days for results. I'll update again when I get them.

Oof, that is a *lot* more intense than the spur of the moment thing I just had. Take it easy! I'll be holding you in the light.

Yeesh! What a process! That sounds unfun to the max.
Fingers crossed and all good vibes and energies for a good outcome!

well, that doesn't sound the most fun one could ever have! glad it's over, and I'm hoping you get clear results soon

and that the holepunched feeling isn't too intense for too long
