a day late for our last session of Rime of the Frostmaiden, but this came up on my playlist this morning and reminded me of Skink:

granted, Skink's relationship with his goddess Eilistraee is WAY less horny than the narrator's with his lady, because he's not one of those paladins who's half in love with their deity. but this song still makes me think of him trying to connect with Helm (to be told he's not good enough) and with Asmodeus (he's not bad enough) only to stumble face-first into a third option with a deity who wanted him exactly as he is, much to his shock. plus it's a total bop of a song. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sorry I'm so delayed on replying to this. I've had the tab open in Chrome for 2 days. I finally listened this morning, and I really like it. The dude has a nice voice. You could totally put this on the playlist.

I love Skink and Elistraee's relationship. He was such a feral little thing, and she's been going by the playbook of how to settle a feral cat down. He's not quite a lap cat yet, but he's definitely rubbing her naked ankles a bit.

LOL, I love that analogy. Skink is totally the feral cat that rubs against her ankles and then hisses at her if she tries to give him attention because no, it has to be HIS idea and on HIS terms, how very fucking dare you. lucky for him, she seems to be incredibly patient and have a good sense of humor. <3
