so I mentioned disorganized d&d blorbo musical flailing and yet never followed up on it past the initial post about Bob the retired pro wrestler from Monster of the Week. I've got an entire youtube playlist for my paladin from our Rime of the Frostmaiden game, Skink, to go with the 20k or so of ridiculous backstory fic I've written about him, and one day I may do a whole thing of liner notes explaining why I chose each song and all that, but for today I'm just gonna link the latest addition:
Skink is an Oath of the Ancients paladin, which is basically the green knight archetype. when they get to a high enough level, they eventually stop aging, are immune to all diseases, and are effectively immortal unless someone or something kills them. (which is not an unlikely eventuality for adventurers.) Skink just hit that level of "local man too protective of his friends to die" and has no idea yet, although he did bounce back from near-unconsciousness to discover that his wounds were glowing like moonlight, which was a little bit unnerving. he's been resigned to dying young for so long and now he's gonna have to figure out how to live. not that he's ungrateful that he won't have to leave his adoptive (elf) brother alone for centuries on end, but when he realizes what's happened, he and his deity are gonna have some words. a little warning would be nice, boss!
