Thank you. The "well, you should've done this and this and this!" is just galling, especially from ones you'd think should know better. I think the only part that's kept me from just exploding with rage over this crap is seeing some kickass people saying in no uncertain terms that this is Not Okay. Also, I found out about the Open Source Back Each Other Up Project. So that's good.

There are unsafe situations in the world, and speaking up is not some magickal thing that instantly makes you safe.

This whole revolting situation makes me hate people even more. I feel so incredibly sorry for the women who were made to feel so terrible at WinCon '08, and for the harm this entire online clusterfuck must have contributed to.
