I adore Blade Runner! The Replicants are so fascinating. A combination of extremely skilled at whatever task they were trained for, intelligent, attractive, and yet capable of a child's innocence and ruthlessness.
That's what really captures me as an audience member. To be created in an adult's form with an adult's training and yet have the emotional qualities of a four year old... because no matter how old the body is, the mind is only four years old, and at four years old, it realizes it's about to die. It's just this amazing mix of intellectual maturity and emotional youth and the realization just as they begin to develop an awareness of self, that their end is near.
Blade Runner is a damn good movie. Someone did a Supernatural fic version of it. When I get back from class I'll attempt to find you a link.
I'm pretty sure this fic was based on Blade Runner based on the title. Blade Runner was based on a story called "Do Electric Sheep Dream" or something similar... I can't remember exactly.

♥ the icon. Daddy Bishop is awesome mad scientist. :)
I took the quiz. Got the same result as you. But I thought it was longer than it needed to be. I mean, really, one question should have been enough. Do you own a cat? If yes, There is a 100% chance your cat is plotting to kill you. If no, There is at least a 50% chance a cat you do not know is trying to kill you. If you wanted to get more elaborate a second question should do: Have you just placed food in front of your cat? A yes would decrease the percentage by just a wee bit.
Blade Runner? So beautiful. But I get just as distracted by Han Harrison as by the cinematography. First crushes are hard to beat.

*DIES LAUGHING* Yes. Yes, this a thousand times.
See, I never saw Star Wars until I was 16, so I'm a little immune to Han. I just spent a lot of time going WOW, THAT'S INTRICATE.

That's because you're a wee baby compared to me. *snerk* Star Wars is the first movie I remember seeing in the theatre. I was five. And I fell head over heels for Han (and wanted to be Leia, of course).
I think Blade Runner is one of the best book-to-film adaptations, ever. Any changes made still kept the emotional tone true, and it's so dark, such a depressing view of the future...oddly romantic, in its way...and well-acted.
I can see the plot bunnies skulking on the horizon. :)
Oh-have you ever seen the film made from the short story, The Veldt? Think it was by Asimov. SKEERY!!! Unnerving kids. 0.0
Wow, there's only an 85% chance that my cat is trying to kill me, and my cat is really damn evil - I'm a little afraid to think of any other creature being 8% worse!
I have the collectors edition with interviews with the crew. :-) I didn't really think about the fact that this was done so long ago that they did the scene mock-ups first ON PAPER with sharpies. And the neon signs were real neon signs. Mocked up first on paper. With sharpies. The dedication, skill, and long hours really show through in the final movie.
HOMG YOU LIVE!!! -hugs you- And... I need your opinion on my vamp!fic, but I need to finish the coding before I can send it to you and then have time to go hide in shame, but still! :-P
I will always think that the lines that rutger hauer says at the end of the movie to harrison ford while holding the dove about the things he's seen is one of the most haunting thing I've ever seen, I just loved it.
