Just by reading the sides I had pictured Ruby as a Caribbean woman speaking with an accent and telling Sam that he was 'dizzy up in the head'. You too, huh? I was totally convinced that Ruby HAD to be diverse. I think the writers are excellent at adding diversity, but they have issues creating memorable female characters of color. (Missouri being the exception, obviously, but she also hasn't been around since Home.)
