we're playing Rime of the Frostmaiden tonight, so here's a song for Skink the tiefling paladin:
after sixteen years, Skink is finally facing down Absolution, the cleric that raised him to become a paladin and who tried to drown him in holy water when he was twelve years old. even though Skink just helped to kill a goddess, he's pretty fucking terrified of Absolution, honestly, but Absolution has taken several hostages (including the bard's siblings, the fighter's wife, and a tiefling teenager we rescued early in the module) and he has no choice but to help the party make a stand. if he survives this and Absolution dies for good, he'll finally be free. he doesn't know who he'll be without Absolution like an albatross around his neck, but he's ready to find out.
