Wow. Um. I don't have the words to say thank you for that kind of praise. I think we're the ones who are overwhelmed, really. We figured we'd write this because it was an idea that wouldn't leave us alone, but neither of us ever expected the response we've gotten, especially from writers whose stories we've been reading and enjoying all along.

The family dynamics are really what sold the show to us, so it made sense to us that the story should focus there, on the ways that these three strong men interact. Especially John and Sam, who finally have to interact with each other as grown ups, without the buffer of Dean in the middle. For John to admit his failings, and his sucess, and yeah, for Sam to finally take that stumbling step into adulthood. And Dean, who's always definied himself by his family, to be cut adrift, to find himself in a world that suddenly makes no sense to him.

I'm really glad that you like it, and thank you again, so much for the kind words.
