Oh Dean, Dean, giving, self-sacrificing Dean. How he makes me ache, trying to redirect Mary's attention to John because he, Dean, is "okay". Just *ouch*!

Mary's exchange with Dean is another example of how she totally fits into the Winchester family. Tough but compassionate, as easily demonstrative as her men are reserved. She totally read Dean the riot act, but so gently that she didn't aggravate any of his manymany issues. Well, any more than her presence on its own had already aggravated them.

Oooh, *bounce*. Dean's finally gonna get some emotional context back. AndI got a big kick out of him wondering if he was bi-polar, after getting all those contradictory emotions dropped on him without context. Talk about emotional flip-flops.

But Dean, he doesn't believe his dad and Sam love him. OMG *woobie*! It's gonna take a lot of applied persuasion for them to convince him it's not true. Up hill all the way.

And then there's John and his temper and his being way too used to being the final authority, and Mary calling him on his BS. Yay. Have I mentioned I reallyreally like your Mary? Oh, and some cute flirtations banter between John and Mary - so sweet.

At least Andrew's dog knows that Dean needs love.

Lives and deaths bound together. OMG no! John, no more hunting for you. Get resigned to living in a glass bubble if I have anything to say about it. *g*

Interesting twist with Andrw and his chalice/cauldron. Of course, there's still not enough information to really know how you're using the mythologica background here. Yes, John, keep an eye on him.

And of course, it's very fitting to turn the demon over to all the women (and babies) it's fucked over. Totally different from what I was expecting, but very cool nonetheless. Very fitting.

And it's just so strange watching both John and Sam be so very careful with Dean, so polite and almost formal.

The Winchester Our Father. *eeeee* That's absolutely great. And I particularly loved that *Dean* remembered (*remembered*) it. "Give us this day our daily ammo, and forgive us our trespasses, as we fuck up those who trespass against us." *love*

And poor Dean, again with the pain with the memories and the emotions. This truly is the hurtyhurt Dean story. Hopefully Sam will comfort him before too much time goes by. *ehem* Must. Stop. Indulging m'self. Must. Stop.

But Dean is ... is he not quite comfortable with Sam and John right now, or is he just needing some alone-time for processing?

Geez. It's *hard* to write feedback to the chapters where things are understated and subtle. I mean, I'm *happy* that things are kinda going well for the guys, but it's so much easier to react to the action stuff. Plus action!Dean pretty. Preeeetty!

Seriously - you guys pack so much off-hand detail into this story, it's so rich and multi-layered and multi-textured and ... I'm exhausted. It'd probably kill me if I wasn't reading it one chapter a day.

But what a way to go.... *g*
