Love the fact that Mary cusses. Most of the characterizations of her in fan fic are this gentle, beatific person. To hold her own with John Winchester, she would have had to have some spine and I think that came through.

I'm afraid for Dean though. And suspicious of this 'talk' John plans to have with him. I think Dean is absolutely perfect just the way he is and I'm hoping Dean makes John and Sam work for his trust. Saying you love someone and actually demonstrating it on a regular basis are two different things and in my opinion John fails that test miserably. Sam's better but his repeated declarations that he plans on leaving don't help Dean trust him, either.

I really felt bad for Dean during the whole church scene. Sam had Jessica and John had Mary and Dean basically had no-one (I don't count a teenaged fling with Andrew). Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all... I can't help it. I want Dean to be the center of someone's universe.

And, not to sound impatient or anything, but there's some kind of explanation coming for Andrew, right? *taps foot repeatedly and clears throat in a presumptuous manner*
