Okay is it sad that I was getting antsy thinking there might not be part of this tonight? Because I was sitting here checking my f-list every hour on the hour to waiting to see this part.

Now with that said, really good work. I've said it before and I'll say it again you two should write for the show, and probably do a better job than Kripke himself.

I especially liked this part:

John smirked, enjoying Sam's discomfort just a little. Okay, he admitted to himself. A lot. "You're my boys. Nothing changes that."

Sam closed his eyes. "Great. Thanks. Now let's never have this talk again. God, this is worse than when Dean tried to explain sex. With diagrams."

John just smiled at him, reaching up to push the hair out of Sam's eyes. "Fine. Make sure there's no goddamn rainbow anythings stuck on the car the next time I look."

"C'mon, Dad," Sam muttered. "Might make it a little hard if we ever needed to go through Oklahoma. Or Alabama. Or anyplace where you hear the Deliverance banjos when you pass the 'welcome to' sign."

Seriously I needed the laugh. You two seem to know how to write for my mood and just when things are getting really deep throw in a completely differant curveball that just makes things so damned much better it's not even funny.

I love that you brought back the Metallicar. I was missing her, and Dean flat out running towards the car just makes things that much better because sometimes I think Dean almost loves that car more than his own family.

Then again his Dad gave him that car, and it's been in the family since before his Mom was killed so maybe that's part of the reason he's attached to that car because he's so damned in love with his Dad it's not even funny.
