Andrew is a total scene-eater.

To some extent, Dean's pulling the same "won't really believe it until I see him breathing" trick that John has been. Dean can't let himself feel anything yet, because if he does he'll a) panic, or b) keel over. But in typical Winchester fashion, that won't necessarily go over well with Sam, who missed that particular memo.
